Personal Statement

I am a 5’11" freshman point guard for Beaver Dam High School and the Wisconsin Crusaders Elite 15U AAU team. I am currently a freshman and will graduate with the class of 2021. As a freshman, I led the JV basketball team in scoring, assists and steals. In late December, I started practicing full time and dressing with Varsity. By early February, I was playing full time Varsity. Beaver Dam is a Division 2 High School in WI with enrollment of approx. 1100 students.

My attributes as a basketball player are my attacking/creating/finishing abilities, ball handling skills, court vision, shooting, basketball IQ, leadership, athleticism and defending. I spend a lot of time working out in the gym on drills that I learned at camps, watching YouTube and/or training with Mike Lee, Jason Otter, Gary Close and Anna Deforge (WNBA). I also train year round between Sports AdvantEdge (Brian Bott in Verona), Athletic Performance (Mequon) and Monkey Gym (Madison).

In addition to basketball, I play High School football (wildcat QB, slot WR and LB/Safety) and baseball (Pitcher, SS).
As an Academic Athlete, performing well in school is very important to me. Currently my GPA is 3.953 and I am ranked 28 of 280 in my class. My freshman classes include honors Biology, Geometry, Spanish, Computer Literature, Microsoft Excel/Access, English, Global Studies and Phy-Ed.

Both sides of my parents’ families are filled with academic athletes at the college level (including baseball, basketball and football) and I plant to follow in their footsteps.
