About the Prep Hoops Scouting Database

Prep Hoops began in March of 2012 to fill a gap in the coverage of college-bound prospects. The top players were being followed and publicized, but there remained a significant number of talented, potentially college-bound prospects that weren’t getting the coverage they deserved.
 
Today, Prep Hoops is in 44 states from coast to coast with plans for continued expansion. Our staff of over 100 scouts constitutes the largest prep basketball staff in the country, giving us the unique ability to cover thousands of prospects each year. 
 
Our year-round coverage includes in-depth, comprehensive analysis of each state’s high school, grassroots, and recruiting scene. Each month, our staff publishes 1,500+ articles combined.
 
In addition to our articles, the Prep Hoops staff ranks more high school basketball prospects than any other media outlet. Each state produces its own rankings for each class. Prep Hoops also offers free national rankings for the classes of 2021, 2022, 2023.
 
By covering prospective players in all divisions – Division 1, Division 2, Division 3, NAIA D1 and D2, and Junior College – Prep Hoops helps student-athletes fulfill their dreams.

We have begun reaching out to give every player that is ranked in our network the ability to control their profile at Prep Hoops. From fixing the spelling of their name, to the school they attend, to updating their college offers – prospects & their families will be able to do it all.

Additionally, the Prep Hoops Scouting Database will allow prospects & their families to provide accurate contact information that will be visible to college coaches across the country, making it easier for them to reach out directly if they are interested.
