Zac Blake Prospect Spotlight (2018)
Zac “Baby Blake”, the 6’0″, 155 pound combo guard out of the Sheridan, Oregon can flat out do it all. Zac was at Sheridan last year but told Prep Hoops he intends to transfer. The location of his transfer is not yet known.
He has shown his athletic ability to block shots, pick pockets, handle the ball, shoot the lights out and find open teammates for the assist. Blake had a blow up sophomore year averaging 25 PPG and just over 5 APG. After suffering a fractured knee mid freshman year, he had an endless tiring off-season to come back twice the player he was. He was named 2nd team all west valley league which is arguably the toughest league at the 3a level in Oregon. Zac Blake is now heading into his senior year after having a disappointing end to his junior season.
Having a new head coach, Blake was forced to change his playing style a little and tone down his aggression down due to a concussion mid season. He would finish the season averaging 21.6 PPG and 7 APG but ending 2nd to last in this tough league. Although he had less aggression during his high school season playing for a new coach, Baby Blake got right after it in his AAU spring season kicking off his first tournament in Salem averaging 28 PPG with Team Jones Oregon. Blake has been seen in the gym every night around 12 A.M. To 2 A.M. since school ended 2 weeks ago. It sounds like Blake is on a mission to come back his senior year a bigger, faster, stronger player and looking to dominate his league. Blake has one offer from D3 Pratt institute in Brooklyn New York.
