Omar Payne talks latest offers, summer and more
2019 Osceola forward Omar Payne has been blowing up here as of late.
The 6’9″, 195-pounder earned offers from Pittsburgh, Auburn, Wichita State and UF last week. He now has seven offers in total.
Payne says he is planning to visit Louisville and UF this summer.
He talked about the Kowboys winning the Class 9A state title this past season and how they could keep it going.
“Winning a state title to me felt great I hear people talking about their titles so I had to get mine,” Payne told Prep Hoops Florida. “A way for us to do it again is to get the players that are moving up from JV to connect with the way we do things and to be greater than last year.”
Payne is running with Team CP25 this summer. He says that the last two years have been going very well and that’s been getting a lot of great exposure.
When you turn on the film, you see an intimidating post player. Payne is very crafty with the ball in or out of his hands. His frame allows him to bully guys in the post and even at his young age colleges are taking notice.
