One of the top prospects in the PrepHoopsNC 2017 class, JP Moorman took the first of his five official visits to Richmond University this past weekend. He has narrowed his college destination to Richmond, Cincinnatti, UNC-Wilmington, Temple and Georgia Tech.
Moorman is a 6-foot-7 wing who spent the summer playing with Team CP3 on The Nike EYBL circuit. He plays high school basketball at famed powerhouse Greensboro Day School in Greensboro, NC. The rising senior has a college ready body and size on wing to defend multiple positions on the floor. He is a very good ball handler and can score in a variety of ways. In short, JP Moorman does a little bit of everything really good on the basketball floor.
Moorman returned from his visit to Richmond University on Sunday and had this to say about the Virginia school, “I really enjoyed Richmond, it was very first class, everything was on time and really set the bar high for the rest of my visits.”
Temple University will host Moorman September 8th-10th. He will take the remaining three official visits soon after.
Georgia Tech was the final school to jump into the mix, as new head coach Josh Pastner (previously at Memphis) extended a scholarship to Moorman after seeing him play in the second live period.
