He didn’t shoot the ball particularly well, but he has a good quick shot and isn’t afraid to shoot. He had a nice hesitation move in the first game and uses his change of speed very well. Hill is a solid passer when he wants to be and sees the floor well. He made some nice plays and showed his athleticism. He has to learn to stay under control at all times. He has a good shot but sometimes tries to force it. When Hill lets the game come to him he has the potential to be a really solid player with his unique speed and quickness. Hill is quick enough that he’s able to defend a lot of positions and specializes in on-ball defense. He needs to improve his help defense, but could turn that into a positive with his speed.
Strengths:
- Great pace, speeds up the game
- Good vision, sees the floor well and has the ability to make good passes
- Good hustle, he’s always trying even if his shot isn’t falling
- Nice hesitation move, decent finisher around the rim
Weaknesses:
- Gets pocket picked, out of control and handle isn’t tight enough
- Questionable shot selection, forces bad shots
- Didn’t exploit mismatches and was out of control
