Kevin received his Bachelor's from Temple University in 2007 and later received his Master's in Sports Management from St. John's University in 2014. Prior to graduating from St. John's, he served as a Graduate Assistant Intern with the Men's Basketball team. In the summer of 2015, he provided analytics for USA basketball as part of a support staff project. Since, he's established a scouting company, Kevin Daniels Scouting under the Northeast Scouting Report, LLC brand.
Prior to joining St. John's Kevin was an Assistant Coach/Interim Recreation Supervisor with Hunter College in New York City. Between the summers of 2011-2014, Kevin coached at various basketball camps.
A native of New Haven, Connecticut, he now lives in New York City. In 2020 he helped set up Prep Hoops New England, aiming to give more exposure to prospects in the region.
A basketball enthusiast, Ian previously covered the New England AAU hoops circuit for Hoopbrothers.com in 2018. Having played basketball in high school, he also spent the summer of 2018 coaching 7th-grade hoops at the Greater Beverly YMCA, summer league. During the summer of 2019, Ian interned for ESPN in the Marketing & Analytics department, where he worked primarily with NBA-based-media properties. He currently writes analytically-centered articles and scouting reports for HardwoodHoudini.com, AdvanceProBasketball.com, and TheExtraPassBasketball.com. A recent graduate of Connecticut College, Ian is also currently enrolled in the Sports Business Classroom, where he plans to learn more about the NBA's Collective Barging Agreement.
