With an extensive background both in writing and coaching, Keith Agran brings a wide perspective to Prep Hoops Georgia and the local basketball scene. A 1995 graduate of Rutgers University with a B.A. in English, Keith immediately went on to work as a local scholastic and college sports writer for the Asbury Park Press, a major New Jersey Daily Newspaper covering the Jersey Shore. In 1997, he joined his alma mater Highland Park High School's boys basketball coaching staff as a volunteer assistant, and proceeded to be a large part of 3 Central Jersey Group I Championship teams in his 4 years there. Parlaying his time at HPHS, Keith took a girl's head coaching position at Villa Walsh Academy, a small Catholic private school in Northern Jersey. Putting his signature touches on the program, Keith took them from a moribund, losing program and transformed them into a conference title winner in 4 years. He pursued a career opportunity outside of basketball in 2008 and headed west to San Diego, CA, but quickly found himself back on the hoops scene, as he spent his last 2 years there as Assistant Director for a One on One Basketball franchise, specializing in youth after-school basketball programs and developing middle school teams. Keith's twitter handle is @BracketSage, and can be reached via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
