Adam Goodwyn
Adam Goodwyn grew up in Virginia Beach, VA, where he attended Norfolk Academy, playing basketball throughout his time there. Adam feel in love with the game at an early age. Ever since he can remember, basketball was an integral part of his life. Some early memories include waking up in the morning and checking the previous day’s stat lines or working on his game every day after school. After Norfolk Academy, Adam attended Vanderbilt University, where he continued to study the game. As a statistician for VU Wired, Vanderbilt’s college sports broadcast, he began to study the analytical portion of the game. Although he plans to leverage his analytical understanding, he still finds in-house scouting and ‘eye-ball’ tests the more valuable player-evaluation tool. He loves high basketball IQ players. Some of his favorite players past and present include: Boris Diaw, Rajon Rondo, Reggie Miller, and Joe Dumars. Recently, Adam moved to San Francisco, CA, where he looks forward to expanding PrepHoops already established footprint in the NorCal region. Feel free to reach out to Adam at agoodwyn@deloitte.com for questions regarding NorCal scouting or to talk basketball in general.
