Lacks ideal size and isn’t a true point guard, but his competitiveness and scoring ability make him intriguing. More than just a shooter on the offensive end. Also a crafty ball handler that can be slippery in the lane at times. He will be a high level small college or JUCO prospect because he just knows how to play the game.
The guard spoke about his summer with the Illinois Bears on the circuit.
“It was fun. We won a lot of games and shot the ball well. Some tournaments we wish we could have went a little deeper than we did, but in a couple tournaments we came up short. I think I shot the ball well. I played my role on the team and didn’t do anything I wasn’t supposed to.”
What does he feel he needs to do for his team to reach their potential as a senior at Marion?
“I have to be more of a leader than I ever have been. I have to work on my ball handling and mid-range. Shoot the shots when I am open.”
John A Logan is one of the main schools on Shadowens right now. He told us what stands out about their program.
“Close to home and I know most of the people on the team. I like Coach (Kyle) Smithpeters a lot.”
