Vantage Hoops will be in the gym throughout the day for what is shaping up to be an outstanding event. Below, we resume our preview by highlighting a handful of senior wings to watch at E80.
Kobby Ayetey | Capitol Christian
We saw Kobby Ayetey do a variety of things on both ends of the court for Team Melo this summer. The 6-foot-8 power forward can stretch the floor, but his calling card is his relentless motor. Ayetey is a strong rebounder in traffic as a result of his length and strong hands.
Terrance Lewis | National Christian
A good athlete who plays with a commendable amount of energy each time he hits the floor, Terrance Lewis is among the most consistently productive bigs we’ve seen this summer. Lewis is crafty around the basket, and is a versatile on ball defender who can also protect the rim.
Shonari Street | Battlefield
Shonari Street has showcased a versatile inside-out skill set offensively. Street is a mobile big man who likes to get up and down. The 6-foot-7 senior is an efficient scorer in the low post who has excellent footwork. He can also stretch the floor from the catch out to the three point arc.
Isaiah Whaley | Mount Zion Prep
We first saw 6-foot-10 big man Isaiah Whaley at Victor Oladipo Skills Academy, where he often made himself available for dump-offs and finished emphatically at the rim. Whaley continued his strong play in Vegas with Team Melo, where he served admirably as a rim protector and rebounder. Whaley has landed a recent offer from Memphis as a result.
