DeAndre Dishman played a little with the squad in spring. Ultimately, Dishman signed with EKU. This group is very balanced, though they lacked post options until they added Chris Vogt (Graves County). Overall, this group was well-coached, but sadly underachieved on the Gauntlet. They did not advance as far as their talent suggested they could.
Best Player: College scouts probably preferred Day Day Sloan, but Jaylen Sebree has the greatest upside. Sebree exited July with Samford, Indiana, WKU, and other offers. He is long and lean, defends like a college guard, and generally compliments star players. Indiana casts a wide net, so despite being his loftiest offer it might become a difficult landing zone.
Players To Watch: The 17u squad has many mid-majors. Anthony Mathis is hoping for a few better offers. He recently camped with Princeton and Penn. Both Trace Young and Chance Moore are intriguing prospects that deserve a few more looks. Young is an explosive lefty that lost recruiting steam by transferring to and then from Huntington Prep last winter. Both Caleb Williams and Tony Jackson are probably an inch or two undersized for their positions. Still, their individual tenacity will earn them OVC/MAC offers. Chris Vogt will wind up SEC with the right offer coming in.
