2018 Parker Ingamells, 5’10, G, Iowa Prep (Hudson): The most impressive thing Ingamells did was can a 3-pointer off the dribble with efficiency and ease, suggesting it’s something he could repeat. He’s a good ballhandler, and hits the glass hard for his position.
2018 Cade Hemesath, 6’6, F, Iowa Prep (Charles City): One of the more impressive prospects I saw Sunday, Hemesath has nice size and athleticism. He bent the defense with some excellent rim running in transition and was even able to handle the ball some and make smart passes in the open court as well. In the half-court, Hemesath showed some nice fundamentals with a clever up-and-under move and some touch on a mid-range jumper. Defensively, he was able to hold position in the post against bigger players.
2018 Adam Waskow, 6’5, F, Iowa Prep (North Linn): A big body, Waskow has some skill on the offensive end, using ball fakes to create space in the post and good footwork that allowed him to take advantage of that space.
2018 Same Moeller, 6’1, G, Iowa Prep (Bondurant-Farrar): Moeller was a freight train heading into the lane, getting past his initial defender and to the rim, using both his hands well. Also showed some solid ability to shoot from distance.
2017 Broden Coulter, 6’1, G, Iowa Prep (Dike-New Hartford): The thing that stands out about Coulter is his extremely quick release on his jump shot. He connected multiple from 3-point range, including a very clutch make in a close game late. Also showed the ability to get to the free-throw line at times.
2017 Robby Sweers, 6’5, F, Iowa Prep (Clayton Ridge): Sweers exhibited a great feel on the perimeter for his size and position, dribbling with comfort against perimeter pressure. Was impressed by his smart and strong passer. He finished well with both hands. On defense, he showed some savvy and opportunism, getting steals as a help defender.
2017 Nick Lembezeder, 5’10, G, Iowa Prep (Western Dubuque): Lembezeder was really solid as a shooter who has a high-arcing shot that is accurate and allows him to shoot over high-level contests. Defensively, he plays well in passing lanes to make life difficult for offenses. Also exhibited some hustle and grit, diving on the floor for loose balls.
2017 Travis Fekkers, 6’2, G, Iowa Prep (West Fork): Played with great motor, attacking the offensive glass on seemingly every shot attempt from a teammate. Showed some nice ability to score in the lane even when congested.
2017 John Boisen, 6’0, G, Iowa Prep (La Porte CIty-Union): Possesses a really nice ability to run off screens, and, more importantly, the skill to turn his hips quickly to get square with the hoops and deliver accurate shots from distance off screens.
