- The top 2016 unsigned prospect in Louisiana made his decision when Jalen Johnson (6’7 F, UHigh) chose St. Louis this week.
- Scotlandville two time champion Jordan Adebutu (6’2 G) is likely headed to Louisiana-Lafayette (ULL).
- Small School 2016 commitments to recently occur were Taylan Grogan (6’0 PG, Patterson) to Louisiana College, Patrick Bossetta (6’3 F, Hannan) to Hendrix College, Michael Alfred (5,10 PG, St. Michael’s) to University of St. Thomas (Houston).
- LSUA continues to canvas the state and has brought in a host of new players.
- Three of the top 2017 prospects in Louisiana have reopened their recruitment in recent weeks and that includes: Mitchell Robinson (6’11 F/C, Chalmette) from Texas A&M, Cedric Russell (6’3 G, Peabody) from LSU, and Davontavean Martin (6’4 G, Ellender) from UNO.
- The next month will tell the story of 2017 with numerous visits to be lined up.
- Some of the top 2016 prospects unsigned are considering a reclassification but there is still plenty of talent to be had for staffs looking to fill late spots opened for various seasons.
