The 5’10” guard helped Osseo to a nearly undefeated record in the winter after serving as a dynamic playmaker for the state champion football team in the fall. Any sport he plays, Armstrong shows off his athletic advantage; in basketball, it was rising up for nasty, two-handed dunks. In football, it was his explosive run-after-catch ability, especially in the state title game where he had a 51-yard grab-and-dash up the middle.
That’s why we at NHR are a little surprised that Damario isn’t receiving more interest. He’s considering two different schools, although he’s still open to new inquiries.
“Walking on at Minnesota or going to Iowa Western CC are options,” Armstrong said. “I’m waiting to get my ACT score back, then I’ll know more.”
Armstrong noted that no schools are contacting him for basketball, but he wishes some would. “Four-year schools would be nice, but I’m not shying away from a juco,” he said.
