He will choose between MIAC programs Carleton, Macalester, St. Thomas and St. Olaf.
“It’s been a strenuous process, and I’m excited to know where I’m going,” Hanson said. “I realized how important it was for me to stay close to home. I want to be able to see my family and I want them to be able to see me play for another four years. Finances also played a significant role.”
With a great GPA and strong test score, Hanson drew interest from across the country. But he will stay in-state after all.
“I was seriously considering Tufts, Middlebury, Washington U, and U of Chicago,” he said. “I’m not sure what I want to study so I think a liberal arts education will suit me well.”
Expect a decision from Hanson any day now.
