Anthony D’Avanzo to Lewis
Lewis picked up one of the top remaining post prospects in the state’s 2016 class on Thursday night in Niles Notre Dame 6’7” power forward Anthony D’Avanzo. He told PrepHoopsIllinois why they were his choice.
“I feel I chose Lewis because I really got along with Coach Trost and Coach Spruance. Also when I went there for a visit I got along with the team really well and I felt like it would be a perfect fit for me after I met the guys and played with them for a bit. Also I chose them because they have had great success over the past years and I think it would help me be the best player I could possibly be in that conference!”
D’Avanzo is a skilled face up four man that can knock down pick and pop shots as well as score with his back to the basket. Tough and competes on the glass. He played with Chicago Lockdown on the circuit. The senior ranked as the #47 overall prospect in the class of 2016 and #7 power forward. Great pick up for Lewis.
