Jackson State is a Division I school in Mississippi in the Southwestern Athletic Conference. Bozeman won’t be far from where his father coaches. The situation at Jackson State was perfect for Bozeman.
“It felt like a great fit for me all around, academics and athletics,” Bozeman said. “I know how hard they work and that they will push me and make me the best basketball player I can be.”
The family atmosphere at Jackson State stood out to Bozeman. Ultimately, the family atmosphere played a large role in his decision.
“It is a real family,” Bozeman said. “I will get to spend my whole college experience in the same place as opposed to JUCO. The coaches were great guys, and the players I met were really cool.”
Bozeman averaged 20 points, 7 rebounds, 5.5 assits, and 2.5 steals this year at Alva. He is a combo guard with an extremely high basketball IQ, can score, defend, and always makes the extra effort on the floor.
