17U Red
Head coach: Tim Schuring
Roster
5-10 Ryan Trainer, West Delaware
6-0 Daniel Martinson, Cedar Falls
6-0 Ethan Wyant, Jesup
5-10 Jaxson Foster, Dike-New Hartford
5-11 Jordan Magnani, Mount Pleasant (2018)
6-5 Cooper Kabela, West Branch
6-2 Tyler Lienau, Jesup
6-4 Kieran Kohorst, Mount Pleasant (2018)
5-10 Tristen Kautman, MFL-Mar-Mac
6-6 Alex Kerian, Crestwood
Notes: Led by a pair of standouts from Jesup, this Iowa Prep group may get overlooked by some as far as 17U squads go, but there is plenty of talent. Ethan Wyant was one of the state tournament’s standouts in March, a smooth shooting point guard with the ability to take over games. Cooper Kabela was strong last season playing with Iowa Dynasty and makes the move over to Prep for this season. He’s a multi-dimensional combo forward who can make plays with the ball in his hands. A pair of 2018s from Mount Pleasant will be playing up with this group as well, in scoring guard Jordan Magnani and post player Kieran Kohorst. There is lots of Division III or NAIA level talent on this roster.

17U Black
Head coach: Matt Haddy
Roster
6-1 Broden Coulter, Dike-New Hartford
6-0 John Boisen, Union, La Porte City
5-10 Nick Lembezeder, Peosta (WI)
6-2 Travis Fekkers, West Fork
6-2 Jonathan Ita, Mount Pleasant (2018)
5-10 Baylor Fish, Marion
6-3 Matt Burke, Central DeWitt
6-4 Robby Sweers, Guttenberg
6-7 Michael Drewelow, New Hampton
Notes: This group should be led by Union’s John Boisen and Marion’s Baylor Fish, a pair of solid guards. Michael Drewelow gives them some nice size in the paint, and Broden Coulter should have a solid season playing with this Black team. There are a lot of relative unknowns with this team that we’re looking forward to seeing.

16U
Head coach: Eric Karius
Roster
6-1 Seth Moeller, Bondurant-Farrar
5-11 Tyler Rentschler, New Hampton
6-4 John Carlson, Bondurant-Farrar
5-10 Parker Ingamells, Hudson
6-2 Jake Zwaniger, New Hampton
6-1 Zach Schuring, Linn-Mar
6-5 Adam Waskow, North Linn
5-10 Ryan Miller, North Linn
6-6 Cade Hemesath, Charles City
6-0 Rhett Smeins, Cedar Falls
5-11 Sam Goodman, Western Dubuque (2019)
Notes: Scoring guard Parker Ingamells should led this 16U team after averaging 11 points a game for Hudson, and proving to be a solid perimeter shooter during the high school season. Ryan Miller should pair with Ingamells to form a solid backcourt tandem. It will be interesting to see how this group of largely small school players adjust to playing against bigger competition.

Notes: There’s good size in this 15U group, with a trio of 6-6 players in Noah Guillame, Ben Weber and Devin Baas, and the 6-4 Tyler Reeder. These are players that we don’t know a whole lot about yet, but they’ll have a great chance to make their names known.
