“The season didn’t end up how we wanted it to buy we still had a lot of fun,” Shay told PHD. “The most memorable part of the season was probably tying the best regular season record in Canistota history by going 18-2 with these guys.”
Statewide Shay is known as an elite shooter which he is but this year he showed that there is more to his game than knocking out jumpers.
“I thought I became more of an all-around player and a better leader in my team,” Jolley explained. “If I want to play at the next level, I’m going to have to keep doing work and smooth out all parts of my game.”
There are five schools that Jolley keeps hearing from at the moment although he is still trying to figure out if he will play college basketball.
“I’m hearing from Dakota Wesleyan, Southwest Minnesota State, Mount Marty, Jamestown, and Morningside mainly,” Shay listed. “It’s still up in the air right now whether I will play or not and where I will play if I do decide to further my athletics.”
