Ade Murkey (St. Croix Lutheran, Sr). Ade averaged 21.8 points, 9.5 rebounds, and he tied with Aage Rovney for the team lead in assists. Shot 61 percent from the field, 38.5 percent from the arc on 43 treys, and 75 percent at the foul line. The Crusaders lost just five games in two years with Ade as an upperclassmen.
Chris Olson (Braham, Sr). Led the Bombers to the state championship at the Class AA level averaged just over 22 points a contest on a team that had five games average in double figures. Olson’s Bombers won 31 games this season.
Trae Berhow (Watertown-Mayer, Jr). The Royals leader gave the 18-win team 25.7 points and 10.4 rebounds becoming one of the best competitors on both sides of the ball in the state of Minnesota.
JaVonni Bickham (Minnehaha Academy, So). The Red Hawks won 23 games this year led by the 19.1 points and just under nine boards a contest for a top ten Class AA team that played the top schedule in the class.
Owen King (Caledonia, So). The top player on a 28 win team that ranked near the top of Class AA all year long Owen scored 19.6 points per contest with 6.4 assists and 5.5 rebounds a night.
Second Team
Trenton Krueger (St. Croix Lutheran,Sr). Teamed with Murkey to push the Crusaders to state twice and lose just five games in two seasons. Put up 15.7 points and 9.2 rebounds a game shooting 70 percent from the floor for the season.
Jimmy Vollbrecht (Jordan, Jr). Injuries led to Vollbrecht having to do more than he expected this season leading to his 25.3 points and dozen rebounds a game for a 17-9 team that seriously lacked depth.
Kent Hanson (SPA, Sr). Before becoming injured Kent was having an excellent season with 18 points and eight rebounds a night but then he hurt his back and missed the final portion of the season.
Bodey Behrends (JCC, Sr). Averaged 12 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 blocks plus had an outstanding state tournament. Bodey had teammates with more scoring numbers but his numbers and defensive value was huge.
Jaxson Turner (Esko,Sr). Was the ball handler for Esko for four straight seasons and in that time he won a state title and played in four state tournaments. This year Turner averaged 13.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, two steals, and 4.4 assists a game which were all team highs.
Third Team
Dillon Haider (Melrose, Jr). The defending champs didn’t return to state but they did win 26 games and Haider led the team in scoring (17.6 points) and assists plus was a top three rebounder for the Dutchmen
Kyle Birr (Albany, Sr). Scored 21.9 points a game with 4.6 assists and 4.2 rebounds for a 21 win team that was a game away from the state tournament. The team’s win over Melrose ended a back to back opportunity.
Justin Ruhberg (St. Charles, Jr). Shot 39 percent from the arc pushing to 15 points, 4 assists, and three steals a game for a 27 win team that pushed as high as top five in state.
Jack Jenson (SW Christian, Sr). Scored 26.8 points per game which was good for the second best total in the metro but more importantly led his team to more wins than expected.
Jalen Suggs (Minnehaha Academy, 8th). The Redhawk eighth grader scoring just over 17 a game pairing strongly with Bickham to guide his team to 23 wins.
Fourth Team
Noah Gindorff (Crosby-Ironton, Jr). The Ranger big led his squad to the section title game with 19.2 points, 9.1 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.6 blocks a game shooting a ridiculous 71.5 percent from the floor for a 22-5 team.
Brady Kuckinka (Lake City, Sr). The Tiger leader scored 20.6 points per game with three assists a night and 6.7 rebounds on average. His team won 24 games.
Adam Trapp (Esko, So). The 7-foot-2 center helped his team get to state for the fourth straight year and Adam led the team in scoring (14.3 points per game), rebounding (7.1 a night), blocks (117 for the season in 30 games), and field goal percentage (shot 59%) .
Jarod Wilken (Annandale, Jr). The 6-foot-5 forward led the Cards to the state tournament for the fourth straight year putting up 15.2 points and 11 rebounds a contest.
Ryan Larson (Braham, So). Put up 17 points a contest and handled the ball for the Class AA state champion both pushing the pace and hitting perimeter shots. The only non-senior on a senior dominated team.
Fifth Team
Broc Finstuen (Pine Island, Jr). Broc put up 20 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists a game for a Panther team that was .500 on the season and Broc had to do a giant share of everything to get to that point.
Jaran Roste (Alexandria, Jr). Roste played a lot of roles for the Cardinals pretty much doing whatever is asked from defending a post to bringing the ball up the floor. Scored between 18-19 a night.
Zac Olson (WEM, Jr). Led the Bucs to 24 wins in 28 games while scoring 22 points with 8 rebounds a contest. They were top ten much of the year with Olson leading the way.
Matt Ringkob (JCC, Sr). Led JCC in scoring and set a record for three point percentage help JCC get to second in state.
Luke Narveson (Belle Plaine, Sr). Scored 23 a game for a team that was a game away from state going 19-9 overall.
Sixth Team
Oakley Baker (NRHEG, Jr). Now in the leading role Baker put up 21.3 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 3.3 assists a contest.
Will Keller (Maple River, Sr). Will put up 15 points and 11 rebounds a game for a 24 win team that went to state.
Troy Diggins (Montevideo, Sr). Put up 17 points, 7 boards, and 3.5 assists a game for 20 win Montevedeo.
Dalante Peyton (St. Paul Academy, Sr). Scored 14.8 points per game for SPA while leading the team in assists.
Jacob Streit (Eden Valley Watkins, Jr). Helped EVW to a 25-4 season with 17.1 points and 11.7 rebounds a game.
John Larson (Braham, Sr). The Bomber six year varsity starter did some of everything guiding his team to the title along with others.
Seth Schuette (GWF, Sr). Seth was one of the most consistently dangerous scorers in the state putting up 26.7 points a night.
Tyler Braegelman (Melrose, Sr). Gave the defending champs 15.5 points and eight rebounds a game winning 27 games.
Blake Kragnes (DGF, Sr). Helped his team to state with 14 points, eight rebounds, and four assists a game, all team highs.
