33 Bailey Basala 6’5″ North Scott 2017
40 Cade McKnight 6’9″ Grinnell 2017
50 Austin Phyfe 6’9″ Waverly-Shell Rock 2017
Notes: This group has largely stayed intact throughout their years on the circuit, and it’s easily the most talented in the state. The Iowa City West backcourt of Connor McCaffery and Devontae Lane are a Division I backcourt, with McCaffery set to join his father, Fran, at Iowa and Lane garnering plenty of interest. In the frontcourt is Northern Iowa Commit Austin Phyfe (6-9) along Riley Till (6-7), Amel Kuljohovic (6-10) and Cade McKnight (6-9). The ‘Stormers round things out with Joe Smoldt, Ben Latusek and Bailey Basala, which would be headliners for many other teams around the state. They’ll play a challenging national schedule, including a spot on the adidas Gauntlet circuit. They’ll be near the top of our team rankings all summer.

Head coach: KC Scmitt
Roster:
Ty Johnson 6’4″ Creighton Prep (NE)
3 Elijah Hazekamp 6’6″ Sioux City Heelan
4 AJ Green 6’2″ Cedar Falls 4
11 Brady Sartorius 6’0″ Mount Pleasant
12 Carter Stevens 5’10” Dubuque Senior
21 Joe Wieskamp 6’7″ Muscatine
23 Corvon Seales 6’2″ North Scott 2
24 Joey Hauser 6’8″ Stevens Point (WI)
40 Luke Empen 6’7″ NE Goose Lake
Notes: It goes without saying that 6-foot-7 scoring machine Joe Wieskamp is the star for this group. The Muscatine product has already committed to Fran McCaffery’s Iowa program, but he’s got a chance to shoot up national rankings lists with a strong summer and establish himself as one of the country’s best. This is far from a one-man team, however, as AJ Green, Luke Empen and Elijah Hazekamp all could be in the mix to drum up some additional D1 interest. The group also added one of the top players from Wisconsin, Joey Hauser, a 6-foot-8 forward with high-major offers.
