Wisconsin Dells Player of the Week 3/14 – 3/20
The season in the state of Illinois has come to a conclusion. It was a great weekend of hoops in Peoria to close out the 3A and 4A seasons. Here are your final nominees for the Wisconsin Dells Player of the Week for the high school season.
Devin Gage (Curie)
The DePaul commit came up big on the primetime stage! Gage went for 24 points in the championship game including four triples to carry his team to the 4A state championship.
Jordan Goodwin (Belleville Althoff)
Another high major recruit that put his team on his back was this stellar junior. Goodwin had 25 points and 15 rebounds against St. Joe’s in the semi followed by 19 points, 10 boards, and 6 assists in the championship.
Nick Rakocevic (St. Joseph’s)
The state’s top uncommitted senior finished off his incredible streak of double doubles with two more in Peoria. He had 17 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 blocks versus Althoff as well as 26 points, 14 rebounds, and 5 blocks against Peoria Manual.
Zack Norvell (Simeon)
This Gonzaga commit closed out his career with a pair of big scoring games with 18 points against Benet and 22 points in the 3rd place game versus Rockford Auburn. He showed he could get buckets in a variety of ways from anywhere on the floor.
Jon Marotta (Lincoln Way West)
Lincoln Way West took their stellar run all the way to the championship game. A big reason for that was his 13 point (5-8 FG) and 13 rebound performance in the semifinal win over Peoria Manual.
