The 6-foot-8 Dordt commit was dominant from start to finish last week, and even provided the tournament’s only 20-20 performance — going for 23 points and 21 rebounds in a semifinal win over Anamosa. Dordt is going to enjoy this skilled big-man for the next five seasons.
Devin Green, Cascade
Had Cascade been able to pull-off a 2A title upset over Western Christian, he’d be the MVP. The Sioux Falls commit was equally as dominant as Van Lingen most if the tourney. Green was sensational during an opening round win over Osage, going for 21 points, 9 rebounds, 5 blocks and 3 steals.
Kyle Schepanski, Anamosa
Schepanski was the surprise selection to the Media-All Tournament team, and full disclosure, we certainly voted him. He was the catalyst for the Raiders in their opening round win over Des Moines Christian. He scored 35 points on 14-24 shooting in the first two games last week for Anamosa.
Levi Jungling, Pella Christian
Jungling is a guy who doesn’t have to fill-up the stat sheet to make an impact on the game. His mere presence on the floor provides leadership and evokes fear into opponents. He was very good in the Eagles’ first round win over top-seed Dike-New Hartford, going for 20 points, 4 assists and 3 steals. He also double-doubled in a overtime consolation game loss; 15 points and 10 assists.,
Kolin Schulte, Anamosa
We thought it might be strange to have two guys from the third place team on a five member all-tourney team, but we just couldn’t leave Schulte off. The numbers speak for themselves. He averaged 15.7 points, 6 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.3 steals in three games, propelling his Raiders to the third-place finish.
