Class 6A All-Tournament Team
The Class 6A Tournament was loaded with talent throughout the field of 8. It was the best tournament in quite some time with great games in each round. Today, Prep Hoops looks back at the tournament and releases the All-Tournament Team.
MVP Chris Potts
Potts had an outstanding summer with Below The Rim. It was only a matter of time for Potts to have a breakout game. He picked the perfect time to show Oklahoma his talents scoring a game high 22 points. Potts takes home MVP honors with his terrific showing over the three day stretch of the Class 6A State Tournament.
Marquis Johnson Putnam City West Point Guard
Johnson was spectacular all season for the Patriots he averaged over 25 points per game on the year. He did not have a huge weekend scoring the basketball, but was instrumental running the show at the Point, and playing great defensively.
Trae Young Norman North Point Guard
Young left the Mabee Center on Saturday night without the Gold Ball, but he did everything in his power to bring it home this season. When the bright lights of the State Tournament shined Young continued to put on a show. The season Young had in Class 6A this year is one we won’t forget.
Marcus Dickinson Norman North Guard
Dickinson nearly led the Timberwolves back in the championship game with phenomenal shooting from the floor. He finished the championship game with a game high 27 points on 9-14. Dickinson doesn’t always get a lot of love, but certainly deserves some with the senior season he had at Norman North. The college that lands him next year is getting a special talent.
Jakolby Long Mustang Shooting Guard
Mustang fell in the semifinals, but it was not due to Long as he scored the ball tremendously over the two day stretch. He averaged over 30 points per game for the tournament. Long is headed to Iowa State next year to play. He had a great career at Mustang taking the Broncos to heights they had never seen before.
