Recruiting Report: 2020 Adam Miller
One of the top 2002 prospects last week at the Peach Invitational Tournament was 2020, Adam Miller. Miller is coming an injury that sidelined him for the first two live periods in April but now he is healthy and being able to show off his talents in front of multiple high major coaches.
“This summer has been pretty good, I missed out on the first two sessions because of an injury but I picked it up the last two sessions so now it is time win big here in July. All this month I will just be working building my strength back up.”
He added a little more about what he wants to accomplish this July, “I want to just show my talent and show teams that I am a winner. I need to pick my defense up after the injury and just getting stronger and stronger after coming off this injury.”
He is currently the youngest player on his 17U team and he has been able to learn from his teammates that are older than him, “It is just about being mature like the older guys and making friends on the team, more like brothers, because you have to go out and battle with them everyday so just letting them know I am here and battling with them and just coming out and playing hard.”
When talking about recruitment he mentioned three schools that are prioritizing him, “Kansas, Illinois, Northwestern and Tulsa, well they have not offered but they are showing a lot of interest and talking to me a lot.”
He was able to break down Kansas, Illinois and Northwestern for us.
Kansas: “I love how they play, their guard play like they are experienced and I like that. I like how they run the floor. You know they are small but they get out and run and they run the offense. I like all of the guards they bring in, they always fit their system.”
Illinois: “Coach Underwood has been texting me and they are always talking to me and just telling me that I am always welcome and to try and come down there as much as I can, they show a lot of love.”
Northwestern: “I took a visit there and I am going to take another one. I was talking to Coach Collins and his father was in the league and not just playing but also coaching so that is always good. The family has a tremendous basketball background.”
