North Dakota 17U (wk 2): Who To See & Where They’ll Be
The North Dakota 17 and Under teams hit the road once again only this time the trip is longer. Who should you see? Where will they be? We break it down today.
ECI Prospects
Name to Watch: Mason Walters. Mason’s a big you can trust. Physically he is where he needs to be agility wise with strength and his court intelligence is really strong. A guy you can trust to work hard on both ends at 6-foot-6 and be where he needs to be giving good numbers at this level.
Top Available Prospect: Maleeck Harden. Hopefully Harden is in Milwaukee this week because this could be a great chance for the 6-foot-5 wing to earn the type of opportunities his potential may push him to receive. Starting to tap into his strong potential.
Three More: Joe Jahner, Treyton Mattern, Christian Kuntz
Where: Milwaukee at the NY2LA Summer Slam
ECI Select
Name to Watch: Bryce Auck. Bryce has been a bright spot of the summer thus far as he’s become more assertive offensively. Is this something that will consistently continue? Something to watch this weekend from the 6-foot-1 guard.
Top Available Prospect: Macauley Young. If Young gets the ball deep and knocks a player off balance he has the soft touch to score. Will usually win the battle for leverage on the block at 6-foot-9.
Three More: Mason Peterson, Harrison Thom, Braeton Motschbacher
Where: Milwaukee at the NY2LA Summer Slam
North Dakota Attack
Name to Watch: Dalton Albrecht. At 6-foot-6 Dalton consistently has been facing up to shoot or attack and score. He’s scoring 6-7 field goals a game with 5-7 rebounds in each contest. You want consistency from size and Dalton usually provides.
Top Available Prospect: Ben Bohl. Bohl has been a winner at many levels and now is the time for Ben to head into the competition in the Twin Cities and have one of his better moments as a 17U player. That talent is there.
Three More: Cody Perkins, Trey Weist, Hayden Overby
Where: Shakopee, Minnesota at the Summer Classic
North Dakota Phenom
Name to Watch: Trapper Jacobs. Jacobs is becoming a better combo guard as the handles and control of the offense were really good playing at the Senior Showcase and in space he hit shots. Definitely a player we look forward to watching this weekend.
Top Available Prospect: Kiir Mabor. A raw wing talent continues to interest us as a prospect is concern. He’s confident, long, quick with the ball and becoming a more consistent shooter. When the all around game becomes more consistent both ways he has the physical gifts that others don’t.
Three More: Mason Hedberg, Chad Morsette, Ben Schmidt
Where: Shakopee, Minnesota at the Summer Classic
