Live Period Weekend Stock Risers: Part 2
Earlier we took a look at players who had exceptional weekends and had their stock rise in the eyes of coaches and scouts (Live Period Weekend Stock Risers). Here are five more stock risers in Michigan from last weekends events:
Gage McGuire (2019, F, Coldwater, Greenwood Elite)
McGuire did it all last weekend at the Adidas Invitational, including hitting a three pointer at the buzzer to send a game to OT. He shot, rebounded, and defended at a high level. McGuire had a 31 point game, three 21 point games, and a 19 point game. His stellar performance led to his first offer, coming from Cincinnati Christian University.
Ryan Wade (2019, SG, Skyline, 1Nation)
Wade can flat out score. He was a dangerous three point shooter throughout the UA Challenge. In fact, Wade ended up among the top six scorers. Wade’s weekend was highlighted by 21 points in a win over DFW Defenders and 28 points in a one point loss. In another game, he had 8 three pointers and had 26 total points. Wade’s exceptional play helped to earn him offers from Air Force and San Diego.
DeSean Munson (2019, F, Skyline, 1Nation)
Munson is in the midst of a steady rise up the recruiting boards. This weekend could have quickened that rise. He showed exceptional athleticism with the ability to be a force in transition. Munson finished with aggressive dunks most of the weekend. He had 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 blocks in a win over DFW Defenders. Munson also had a 21 point game last weekend. With performances like these, his stock will continue to rise.
Evan Neff Evan Neff 6'2" | SG Kingston | 2020 State MI (2020, G, Kingston, Michigan Warriors)
Neff might be the biggest stock riser of the weekend in Michigan. He was exceptional at the NY2LA. Neff’s shooting and playmaking ability put his name in headlines with elite players nationally. His weekend was highlighted by 12 points in a win over Mercury Elite and 16 points in an opening win.
Tyson Acuff Tyson Acuff 6'4" | PG Cass Tech | 2020 State MI (2020, PG, Cass Tech, REACH)
Acuff was dominant in all facets of the game at the NY2LA Next Level Invitational. He controlled games at all times from the point, and simply took over scoring in multiple fashions when he needed to. Acuff had 19 points in a win over WI Shooters. He also had 14 points and 10 assists in a victory against Made Men. Acuff even managed to hit a game winning buzzer beater.
