A few guys stood out in the NCAA bracket (15U & 16U). Of the players I was able to watch, here are the young athletes that stood out!
Kade Shaffer 2020 Team Cooper guard
Shaffer moves around and has great lateral speed defensively. He has a gear above other players on the floor speed-wise and attacks aggressively on the offensive side of the ball. Shaffer’s pace commands defenses to guard him. Additionally, he makes great passes and rarely misses fast break opportunities.
Taelon Peter 2020 Team Cooper Wing
Defensively, Taelon Peter jumps passes well defensively and doesn’t take opposing casual passes for granted. On the offensive side of the ball, Taelon Is a good ball-handler and has a big vertical.
Joshua Eaton 2021 NE Houston Razorbacks Guard
Eaton sticks out to me as a particularly athletic guy that plays at a high pace. He can score off the drive and gets the ball up the floor on fast breaks. He is very fast and can get by defenders with ease.
Drew Miller 2020 AAO Flight Guard
Drew Miller is an elite scorer from anywhere on the floor. He can pull up off the dribble and hit a long 3 or he can catch and shoot. Miller is a guy that does it all pretty well offensively. At best, you can limit him to scoring a lot of points.
