College Prospect Combine Standouts: We Got Next! C/O 2021
Liberty Christian Guard Daymon Beckwith: He’s a player that we have been keeping an eye on for a few years now and he continues to improve at a nice rate. The ability he has to score the ball is clear, he knocked shots, got into the paint and finished quite a few plays through contact. We would classify him at this point as a scoring guard but he has the tools to be a triple threat guy that can score, facilitate and defend at a high level.
Swansboro HS Forward Lorenzo White: This was our first time getting the opportunity to see him play, he rebounded the ball at a high rate and played with a good amount of energy. It seems like he has another growth spurt in him but he already plays the game as if he is bigger, using his strength to battle inside with taller opponents.
New Life Christian Guard Pharell Davis: The past season was a learning year for him as he didn’t get a ton of time on the court but practiced against quite a few players who have already received offers to play on the next level. Shooting wise he is advanced and it seems like each time we see him play he’s getting taller and better, has a chance to be very good over the next few years if he stays locked in.
West Brunswick HS Guard Makoa Suriago: Does a good job of running the PG spot, one of the attributes that you have to like about him almost immediately is the leadership qualities he has. Personal numbers aren’t what he’s looking to achieve, instead he’s doing whatever it takes to help his team win games. Ballhandling, passing and defending were all skills that we saw him display throughout the combine and we look forward to a standout sophomore year for him.
Northwood Temple HS Guard Emmanuel Sepulveda: It’s rare that you see a player going into their sophomore season with a high amount of varsity basketball playing experience under their belt. That’s the case for Emmanuel as he played on the varsity level for the last two years in a backup role and it seems that he will be getting his chance this year to show more of what he can do. Quickness and passing ability are some of the things that will impress you about his game, he truly gift for passing and does a nice job of converting difficult plays.
