All Iowa Attack 63 vs Young Lions 60(WI)
Karson Sharar put on a show after the first half, and Ames’ Casey Mumm came up with a dagger 3-ball at the end of overtime to help All Iowa Attack advance to the Final 4. Sharar, an Iowa-Falls Alden product, led Iowa with 17 points in the win, 15 of those came in the second half and overtime. Mumm’s 3-ball came with 20 seconds left in overtime and broke a 60-60 tie, proving to be the game-winner. Everyone played well for Attack, especially down the stretch. Connor Drew hit a couple clutch free-throws in overtime to help Attack keep their advantage. The first half belonged to Jaron Crews and Angelo Winkel. Crews scored seven of his 11 in the first, including a blow-by lay in that beat the buzzer and gave his team a lead heading into the break. Winkel was exploiting the smaller Wisconsin team with his size, and dominated the glass in the first half. He was getting it done offensively, too, while scoring 11 points of his own. Young lions have a nice player with Jimmy Baisden, the 5’11 Hamilton High School guard scored a game-high 24 points.

Quad City Elite 45 vs Breakaway Basketball (IL) 42
Davenport North has a really good class of 2021 guard coming through the ranks with Jayden Houston. The 6′ floor general has a high motor and plays with intensity, he scored a team-high 12 points in the win, including a clutch lay-in down the stretch to give his squad a one point lead. For most of the game, QCE was in control, but late in the second half BB started to make a run; when York’s Jeffrey Grace and Hinsdale Central’s Charles Herbst canned back-to-back 3s at the 4 minute mark, it gave them their first lead of the game — and all the momentum. QCE, though, weathered the storm, and got some big buckets and clutch free-throws late. Eric Price and Jordan Rice both made each of their free-throws in the final minute to help keep QCE stay ahead. Bettendorf’s Oliver Bakeris played his role well for the winning team, he scored six points. Grace led BB with 13 points, that was a game-high. Glenbard South’s Corey Crowder chipped in with 11 in the losing effort. Quad City Elite will play All Iowa Attack at noon in the Platinum Bracket Final 4.

Quad City Elite 63 vs All Iowa Attack 42
Rock Island guard Jordan Rice started this one off with s smooth 3-ball right in front of the All Iowa Attack bench. Iowa coach Lefty Moore gave him a good look after it went in, it’s like he knew that this little dude (5’7) might be trouble, and he was. Rice was the best player on the floor in this one, dropping 3s, floaters and runners with ease en route to a game-high 20 points. It wasn’t just Rice, the whole QCE team was firing on all cylinders in this one. They played way better than they did in the quarterfinals. Davenport North guard Jayden Houston was again good, he was the second-leading scorer for QCE with 11. For Iowa, it was — who else — Karson Sharar who came out red hot, scoring the team’s first nine points before slowing down but still notching a team-high 14 in the loss. Jaron Crews chipped in with 11. But when QCE plays the way they did, they’d be tough for any opponent to beat. This one ended at the 3 minute mercy-rule mark.
