It’s July Live Period: Who Do I Watch?
The July live period has begun and players all over the country are making the most out of the opportunity to play in front of college coaches. So if you’re a college coach that’s look for a player that is a bit under the radar, where do you want to go? Let’s take a look at a few of the players and teams that colleges should be making sure to see this weekend and next.
TN Prospects: They feature one of the bigger frontlines in Overhills HS 2019 F/C Jeremyah McWilliams and Grace Christian 2020 Allan Taylor, both coming in at 6’8. The team will be at Big Shots Myrtle Beach followed by Big Shots- Charlotte the next few weeks so coaches have a chance to see these guys multiple times.
NC Redstorm: With Dakari Johnson & Jordan Love both deciding to do a year at prep school, they both have a chance to have one more summer to catch the attention of coaches at the college level. They already have put up major numbers at the Peach State tournament down in GA with Johnson going for 36 & 10 while Love finished with 32 & 8.
Team ENC: This group has a nice amount of talent and is a team that schools at the Mid Major, Low Major and Division 2 level should be tracking. Players such as Shykeim Phillips and Luke Davis are names that you know already while guys like Dyquavis Wilkins, Phil Martin and Reggie Walton are all names that have caught the attention of coaches as of late.
Juice All-Stars: This organization always has a nice amount of talent on their squad and this year is no different, one of the bigger sleepers in the state is on their squad and the right school will reap the benefits. 2019 Wing Max Farthing is a player that can flat out shoot the ball, he has good size for a college wing and doesn’t try to do things outside of what he’s good at.
