UA Select Super 16 (2019 Forwards)
Here is a look at some of the top Class of 2019 forwards from last weekend’s UA PTN Select Super 16 in Cape Girardeau, MO.
Trent Lippoldt 6’6″ SEMO Select
A hard working forward from Doniphan High, Lippoldt had a very productive weekend with consistent scoring and rebounding. He displayed some excellent moves in the post where he could go either left or right and had a nice shooting touch around the basket. He could also go up strong and finish with a dunk in traffic. He was also very active on the boards as well.
Chase Brown 6’5″ SEMO Elite
The combo forward from Perryville was an ideal Stretch 4 on a team full of athletic guards who attack the basket. His ability to knock down 3-pointers on a consistent basis kept the floor spaced. He was also a very solid rebounder who was aggressive on the boards.
Jason Montgomery 6’4″ Arsenal Hoops
The talented combo forward from Marquette High continued to be a matchup problem with his versatile skill set. In his first game against All-Arkansas Red, he did a nice job of scoring in the post and grabbing offensive rebounds. He can also work the perimeter with his ball handling, passing and 3-point shooting.
Steven Torre 6’8″ SI Select
A much improved power forward from Highland, IL who helped his team to the 17U championship. He has good athleticism, but he is very active around the basket as a scorer and rebounder. He moves well without the ball and can finish around the basket with either hand.
