2019 F Armando Bacot discusses his move to IMG, recruitment and more
On Sunday, one of the top big men in the country announced he’s coming down to Florida for his senior season.
2019 forward Armando Bacot told our own Jack Herron that he’ll be transferring from Trinity Episcopal (Richmond, Va.) to IMG to play alongside other standout 2019 prospects Josh Green, Jahmius Ramsey, Chol Marial and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl (he transferred to IMG in June from Kansas).

The 6’10”, 240-pound Bacot will officially be at IMG on August 14. He’s currently finishing up his work with Team Takeover on the EYBL Circuit.
“I’m just trying to get a step ahead, prepare for college and get to work on my body right when I arrive,” Bacot told Prep Hoops.
He announced his top 10 back in October as Duke, UNC, Kansas, Virginia Tech, Virginia, VCU, Villanova, UCLA, Oklahoma State and Georgetown.
Bacot says he’s included Kentucky and Georgia into his consideration as well.
He went on to say that all of the schools that have offered him like how he’s a winner and a true competitor.
In terms of his biggest strengths, Bacot alluded to his low post scoring and rebounding. He’s aiming to get stronger and be more flexible in his senior campaign.
IMG was already set for a big season with the athletes they had in place, but adding Bacot is instrumental. He will dig in down low and give you tough minutes much like Silvio De Sousa and Emmitt Williams did previously at the school. Bacot will trim some of his baby fat and add even more muscle to his frame. He slides right into the Top 3 here in the 2019 Florida class.
