AABA 2022 Wins REACH July Tune-Up

The 2018 REACH July Tune-Up featured a number of talented teams and players. AABA has been a travel basketball program on this rise this spring and summer. July is a critical month for high school basketball players, so the REACH July Tune-Up was a kickoff to a series of big events. AABA 2022 looked to continue the success of their team and program.
AABA 2022 started the month by winning the REACH July Tune-Up Championship. They went 3-1 on the weekend. AABA 2022 grinded their way to hard fought wins over quality competition. All three games leading up to the championship were decided by 4 points or less. AABA 2022’s exceptional play on the defensive end played a big part in their REACH July Tune-Up championship weekend. Their opponents at the event averaged only 31.5 points per game.

KEY PLAYERS
Payton Pyle (#44)
Pyle provides a huge lift to the AABA 2022 squad. He’s a big and strong kid that stands at 6’4”. Pyle wears a size 17 shoe. His combination of strength and a soft touch proved difficult for opponents to stop all weekend. His size, strength, and touch around the rim make Pyle a prospect to watch over the coming months.
Trey Ellis (#30)
Ellis was a force at the guard spot for AABA 2022. He contributed to the team’s success in multiple ways. Ellis was a strong rebounding guard. He aggressively attacked the rim all weekend. This allowed Ellis to create contact and get to the free throw line. When he got to the line, Ellis was very efficient. Ellis’ versatility and efficiency make him an interesting prospect to see in coming events.
