Recruiting Report: Vuk Djuric (2019)
Class of 2019 post Vuk Djuric stands at 6’6” from Lane Tech. The big man is a versatile prospect that can play inside and outside. Quality athlete for how strong he is. Handles it facing up and makes smart decisions with the ball in his hands. Beast area rebounder the snatches them at a very high rate. Soft touch around the hoop and has nice footwork. Face up ability being able to hit from mid-range. Stud small college post!
He spoke about his spring with Kessel Heat.
“Overall it was a pretty good spring. We played really well together and were a solid defensive team. Overall a great group of guys and a good showing. I didn’t think I played the best I could have played. I wasn’t focusing on my perimeter shot as much. Toward the end of the spring when I started to do that it opened up my game and I played better.”
How was his junior year at Lane Tech?
“It was kind of disappointing to be up 13 points at halftime against a good Lincoln Park team and losing that in the state tournament. Overall though it was a good year and we are looking forward to improving next year.”
The post discussed his strengths as a player.
“I would say I am a really good post player with good footwork. Definitely can face up and hit the mid-range shot. Pull up and shoot from three. I am a really good passer and can find guy from post. Really good rebounder both offensively and defensively.”
Where do things stand with recruiting?
“Mostly D3 schools like Benedictine, Rose Hulman, North Park, North Central, University of Chicago, Ohio Wesleyan, and some others. I went to camp at University of Chicago. I visited North Central and St. Olaf. I would like to visit Emory, Rochester, and NYU.”
