Jalen Johnson (6’7 F, UHigh) – Johnson is focused on winning a third straight state title and is very quiet about his recruitment. Recently told theadvocate.com that he has offers from Tulane, Louisiana-Lafayette and Florida International with others keeping in touch. He can be a difference maker at the mid major level.
Troy Green (6’3 SG, East St. John) – Green and ESJ lost in the first round of the playoffs and he’s finally ready to consider his options. He has offers from multiple D1 schools and told us that a, “decision [is] coming in April.”
Braxton Bernard (6’4 G/F, Donaldsonville) – Bernard also lost in the first round and is considering his options heading forward. Right now he’s got offers from Southern and Xavier but has a certain school in mind he would love to get an offer from.
Tykeem Anderson (6’3 G, Ruston) – Anderson has a goal of making the Top 28 for the first time in over 30 years for Ruston he told us. Afterwards he is considering enrolling in a JUCO for a season to show off his game. He has some D1 offers as well. Considering these JUCO’s: North Platte, Coffeyville, Trinidad State, Howard.
Damien Sears (6’6 F, Haughton) – Sears is committed to LSUA but has been mulling going to Prep School for a year before heading to college. There are things he would like to develop in his game since his exposure was limited this past season.
John Norvel (6’0 PG, Salmen) – Norvel and Salmen saw a quick exit from playoffs after last season’s title runner-up. He hears from Xavier and LSUA but doesn’t have an offer yet. He has the LHSCA/LHSBCA All-Star game coming up and he’ll surely showcase his abilities there.
