We’ve already taken a look at guards, forwards, and posts and we’ll continue our look at available players in the class of 2016 with the rest of the players who makes the most sense for small schools. Some players in the rankings above others aren’t on here due to either another sport being primary or they won’t be playing basketball anymore. None of these players have been mentioned before in the Top Available articles you’ve seen the past weeks.
Quentin Scott (6’4 F, Ellender) – Scott is a bouncy forward who is transitioning to the wing, still young but lives on the glass and finishes well above the rim.
John Norvel (6’0 PG, Salmen) – Norvel is a strong and athletic guard who is tough to defend off the dribble. Defends with length and one of the fastest players in state with or without ball.
Nigel Allen (6’1 PG, Port Allen) – Nigel is slender and extremely quick. Can score at every level and is a handful to stay in front of. Needs to add to his frame.
Vincent Phillips (6’0 SG, Karr) – Phillips is a scorer who operates best from the elbow in off the bounce. Can pull up and get to the rim. Strong guard.
PJ Hardy (5’10 G, St Louis) – PJ does a bit of everything for St Louis whether it’s scoring, rebounding, or setting people up. Thick guard from Lake Charles is drawing small school interest.
Mike Harden (5’9 PG, LCA) – Often overshadowed by the talent around him, Harden is a lock down defender who can still provide efficiency on the offensive end.
Marshall Graves (6’2 G, UHigh) – Graves ,known as a scorer his first two seasons at Hammond High before moving to UHigh, now runs the point mostly and can defend.
Toronco Loston (5’9 PG, Capt Shreve) – The scoring guard is out for the season with an injury but undoubtedly has a home at the next level despite his size.
Jameon Green (6’4 SF, Carroll) – Green is one of the leaders on a very good 3A Carroll team. Winning is a common theme over there and that’s something he’s used to.
Ludovic Kader (5’11 G, Christian Life) – Kader is originally from France and a very good athlete who plays extremely hard and with a smile on his face. A lot of potential with his athletics.
JaCoby Ross (6’0 PG, Peabody) – Ross could be seeing some D1 interest as a high volume scorer with ability to play the point. Plays for an undefeated Peabody team.
Taylan Grogan (6’0 PG, Patterson) – Grogan continues to see different defensive looks but can lead a team as a facilitator or scorer. Extremely athletic, quick, strong guard.
Dylan Hoyt (6’2 G, Albany) – Hoyt leads a physical and veteran Albany team. Very good shooter who plays on or off the ball. Be a great D3 fit away from Louisiana.
Nathan Bailey (6’4 SG, Higgins) – Bailey is a top notch scorer with size and bounce. Slight frame but has plenty of range from outside until he bulks up.
Michael Corchiani (6’0 PG, Country Day) – CD is one of the toughest teams to play against and his leadership and IQ from PG position is a big reason why. Fills a stat sheet.
William Loyd (6’4 F, MPA) – Madison Prep is a top team and Loyd is one of the more versatile players. Able to mix it up inside or defend perimeter. One of the top posters was made earlier this season thanks to him.
