Tervell Beck, Cleveland Central Catholic: Beck isn’t just the top local unsigned player in his class, he’s also having one of the best seasons. Despite facing double-teams all season, Beck has scored at least 17 points in every game this season and is coming off of a 33-point performance against St. Ignatius. The 6-foot-6 forward has six Division I offers and has been receiving a lot of recent interest from Dayton.
Daviere Andrews, Lorain: The younger brother of Kent State redshirt freshman Devon Andrews might also have a Division I school in his future. The 6-foot-2 guard is an elite outsider shooter and has become more aggressive this season as a senior. He’s beginning to receive D1 interest and might be able to snag a late offer as his season progresses.
Anfernee Smothers, Lorain: The other intriguing senior on Lorain is Smothers, a 6-foot-7 athletic freak that has showed off his two-way ability this season. Having coming off the bench until this season, Smothers is not well-known but his frame and natural ability has started to peak the attention of Division I coaches.
Deven Stover, St. Ignatius: The 6-foot-5 guard has displayed a strong combination of outside shooting and quickness over the course of his St. Ignatius career. He’s arguably having his best season this season, as he’s emerged as a reliable double-digit scorer. Stover holds offers from Stony Brook, Bucknell, Air Force and Navy.
Anthony Christian, Archbishop Hoban: At this point, it appears Christian might be leaning towards the football route, but if he choose basketball, he’ll have his options. Christian, a 6-foot-4 guard, will finish as one of Archbishop Hoban’s all-time leading scorers. He’s received Division I interest in the past, and that could pick up again if he fully commits to basketball.
