So it’s no surprise that he kept his eyes on two highly productive seniors from our state, eventually landing both Jake Dale (Mankato West/D1 MN) and Brady Kuchinka (Lake City/WOTN) last week.
“I just felt that Waldorf fit me perfectly,” Dale said. “With both education and basketball. I really enjoyed the professors I met with and the coaching staff really impressed me. The head coach used to be the assistant at Minnesota State (where I live), so I’ve always known who he was and knew how great of a coach he is.”
For Kuchinka, it came down to considering several juco offers as well as a few NAIAs. He found Waldorf to be a personally great fit as well.
“It really came down to staying closer to home as well as enjoying the campus,” Kuchinka said. Forest City, IA is just 30 minutes from the Minnesota border. “They also have my major, Criminal Justice.”
Waldorf is currently sitting at an 11-7 record.
