D’Aaron Owens (Centralia)
Profiled already as one of the best prospects remaining at the position this 5’8” point guard is a high IQ floor general that is a tremendous leader. Slick ball handler that makes sound decisions and has improved as shooter.
Daniko Jackson (Riverside Brookfield)
Much like Owens except for being a lefty, Jackson is a smaller guard that is quick and shifty with the ball in his hands. Gets in lane using hesitation setting up for shooters in the drive and kick. Active defensively getting out in transition.
Josh Robinson (Normal West)
Big guard at 6’3” with a strong build. Robinson is a lefty that can accelerate with the ball in his hands quickly in the transition game. Makes plays in the lane scoring as well as finding open teammates.
Creig Atkins (DePaul Prep)
Slick handling point guard that has the ball on a string. Gets in the lane with ease where he finishes at the rim or gets to the charity stripe. Solid pull up mid-range shooter. Breakout senior season.
James McQuillan (St. Charles East)
Great size at 6’4” and had a big July with Tri City Thunder. Transitioning to the point, but shows natural instincts and handles it well. Can score by getting in the lane and sees floor over opponent to both shoot and hit the open man. Struggled with a foot issue in first half of season.
Darius Branch (Leo)
The 5’7” point guard is a dynamic playmaker with the ball in his hands. Great speed with the ball in transition and pressures the ball all over the floor.
Devon Sams (Bolingbrook)
Tough 6’0” guard that plays with a ton of heart and passion for the game. He bullies his opponent with his strength getting in the lane where he knocks down mid-range jumpers for days and can score through contact at the rim. Plus on ball defender.
Lee Higgins (Plainfield East)
Higgins is a rangy 6’2” point guard that has long arms and a projectable frame. Plus on ball defender that can change the game when he is locked in on that side of the ball. Flashes ability as a scorer and distributor.
CJ Neville (Rock Island)
Neville has played a backup role on both the travel team circuit and his high school team, but with Quad City Elite Black he proved that when you put the ball in his hands this kid can get you buckets!
Joseph Sieger (Neuqua Valley)
Rangy combo guard that can really shoot it from the perimeter. Quality player for small colleges looking for a shooting point guard.
Lou Griffith (Washington)
Tough as nails 5’7” point guard that can really shoot the basketball! Plus catch and shoot guy that plays with a lot of confidence. Solid passer and is not afraid to mix it up on the inside with drives. You want him on your side and not the other!
