Players to keep an eye on for July
Team Camps are coming to a close, with players and programs preparing for the upcoming live periods in July, we are going to take a glance some of the prospects in the state that have a chance to raise their stock with some good performances.
Team Wall 2019 Guard DJ Robertson: Due to a serious injury prior to the live period in April, he missed the first live period but has recently been cleared to play. Of course there will be a small amount of rust for him to work through but we fully expect him to have a big time July period, he’s quick, crafty and knows how to score the ball at a very nice rate.
Flight 22 2019 Guard Talton Jones: The Trinity Christian PG was dominant throughout the spring evaluation period and will look to continue his level of play in July. His dominance didn’t necessarily lead to him getting more offers in April but it turned plenty of heads and the more eyes that he gets on him, the better his chances are. Scoring, Passing and defending at a high level are all some of the things that he does very well.
Garner Road 2019 Forward/Center Kadin Shedrick: His progression continues to come along as he has caught the attention of big time programs all over the country. He has the height and upside that you like to see from a big and will only get better over time with the time he puts in on the court and in the weight room.
Juice All-Stars 2019 Wing Max Farthing: What is there to not like about what he brings to the court? Scoring wise he is one of the best shooters in the state, he has a game that is very fundamentally sound and his size at the wing spot at 6’7 is good for the next level. He’s a player that won’t do a lot of showboating or talking but instead lets his game speak, be on the watch for him to have a special season.
WBC Elite 2020 Guard Jajuan Carr: He is slowly but surely climbing up the ranking for the 2020 class in the state of NC and his play has recently earned him an offer from ECU. Scoring wise he showed throughout the year that he can put the ball in the bucket with ease, but he also showed his ability to defend at a high level. D1 programs should be putting WBC Elite on their list of teams to see in July without a doubt.
