Furman Team Camp Standouts
Furman University had their team camp on Friday and Saturday at Timmons Arena. Here is a look at some of the standouts from the event.
Trevor Thomas2019’s
2019 PG Christian Crockett of Grays Creek (NC) was impressive today at Furman Team Camp. Tough lead guard that is a shot maker, has a good handle and has a great change of speed. Has a little Devontae Boykins (NC A&T) in his game.
CJ Jamison of Legacy Charter is a good finisher, fills the lane on the break, in your face defender, has a 3.5 GPA.
Thought 2019 PG Trey Smith was good today for Landrum (SC). Skilled coach’s son that has a high basketball IQ, can shoot the lights out.
Ren Dyer was the top overall prospect for the next level today. Haven’t covered a kid that plays so hard every possession in a while. At 6’3 he plays more like 6’7 with his ability to play above the rim and rebound. Has that dog in him. Has unofficial visit to Furman on Wednesday
2019 Tony Dupree of Grays Creek (NC) is strong and tough. Good defender, quick first step on the baseline, attacks off the dribble.
2019 Trevor Thomas of Grays Creek (NC) is a guard with really good court vision, tight handle, good use of the shot fake, quick and good form.
2020’s
Kaleb Mack of Legacy Charter (SC) has good court awareness, quick first step, nice arsenal of spin moves & attacks. Good defender.
2021’s
6’3 guard Bryce McGowens of Wren (SC) is a shooter, big hands, long, really nice stroke, smooth, moves well without the ball and creates space.
Liked the play from Jemarkus Boozer for Berea (SC). 6’3, 2021 with some skill. Long, athletic, gets to the rack, can finish.
Kam Little of Legacy Charter is a good defender, gets good position for the easy pass on the block, soft hands, and catches everything that is thrown his way.
2022
Randy Caldwell of Legacy Charter is a big bodied/shouldered post that rebounds well, attacks, strong, and a good student. He is one to watch in the rising freshman class.
