The Skyhawks and Team Loaded 804 17s floor general is on the smaller side, but shows tremendous upside, boasting his skills in LC Bird’s Summer League. We sat down with Henderson after he led his team to a double digit victory over Huguenot, here’s what he had to say:
- As the floor general, what are your biggest expectations of your other teammates:
“I just expect for my guys to come out and compete. Just make shots, and compete, that’s all.” - What are some things you are working on during this summer, in preparation for the upcoming HS basketball season?
“Just becoming a shot maker, over a shot taker. Seeing my shots begin to fall more, rather than just taking shots.” - You guys have started this summer league, winning most games convincingly, what is the usual game plan. and how do you guys execute it so well?
“Coach Mann tells us to go out and compete, we go out, and we compete.” - You run with Team Loaded 804 17s, which is coached by your high school coaching staff, how has this AAU season been for you so far?
“It’s been good, we’ve been winning, and just getting better.” - Any early season goals?
“A state championship, simple.”
Tyler Henderson is making his name known early heading into his junior season. Expect a big July out of him, and be ready for him to lead his troops to that state championship during the high school season.
