Kyree Walker 6’5 SG Hillcrest
Walker is a bigger guard who is more than capable of playing the 1 or 2 at the next level. His wide body and good laterally movements aid him greatly in this. Further, he could potentially play the 3 and put a lot of pressure on the opposing team if his team wanted to play small ball. Walker is extremely gifted athletically and he has the skill to match.
Jason Harris 6’8 PF Higley
Harris is one of the best athletes in the state. His strong with a good frame and quick feet. Further, he has good control of his body despite being 6’8. All these things combine to aid Harris in potentially playing the 3/4 at the next level. Further, he is a more than capable shooter from deep which aids him in extending the floor. Thus, increasing his stock substantially.
JB Mukeba 6’9 PF/C Hillcrest
Mukeba is as explosive of an athlete as there is on this list. Further, his long frame and decent handle makes him extremely intriguing as a 4 at the next level. Positionless basketball has become the trend and Mukeba has a really high ceiling for a program looking for a guy who can play multiple spots and bring elite athleticism to those positions.
Shon Robinson 6’10 SF/PF Higley
Robinson might be the most intriguing prospect in the class of 2020 due to his versatility. He is 6’10 and has an array of skills that aid him with playing on the block and on the wing. The only thing that holds Robinson back at times is his motor. However, that has improved substantially and should play a huge factor in him continuing to jump in our rankings.
Dalen Terry 6’4 PG Corona Del Sol
Terry is another guard whose ceiling is extremely high because of his uncoachables.. His long and athletic while being a true point guard who has good vision and can shoot it from deep. Further, he plays with a chip on his shoulder and enjoys to compete with the top prospects in the nation. Terry’s versatility is a key factor in him being one of the top guards in the state.
Jerry Iliya 6’6 SF Paradise Honors
Iliya has a good motor and can rise up with anyone in this class. He has an explosive first step that aids him in creating separation and creating highlight reel dunks. His athleticism, motor, and feel for the game makes him dangerous on both sides of the court. As he continues to improve his ability to let it fly from deep, his stock will rise as he has all the other tools to be a really good college prospect.
Osa Ighodaro 6’8 PF Desert Vista
Ighodaro has been mentioned by myself and some of our other writers as one of the most improved prospects in the state. He is a versatile athlete who is beginning to get confidence thus playing with more aggression. This is a lethal combination that could make Desert Vista a force in the 6A world yet again. Further, it makes him one of the highest upside prospects in this class.
Paul Hayden 6’5 SF Sunnyslope
Hayden is not an elite level athlete. However, he has good length and plays hard as well as smart. His toughness mixed with his basketball IQ enable him to play multiple positions on the court and have success. He will be a key part to Sunnyslope’s success this next season as he has the tools to play multiple spots offensively and defensively.
Trent Hudgens 6’1 PG Moon Valley
Hudgens has broken out and demonstrated that he is deserving of moving up the rankings. He is a longer guard who gets after it defensively. He has a bulldog mentality that makes him fun to watch on the offensive and defensive end. Further, he is a more than capable shooter who can put pressure on opposing guards in many ways. Hudgens is not done moving up our list. He is tough and can play.
