2020 Rankings Update: Top Shooters
The class of 2020 has many skilled athletes. In addition to having good athletes, there are some prospects who can shoot the lights out of the gym as well. Below are some of the top shooters from the class of 2020.
2020 Ranking Update: Top Shooters
Nico Mannion 6’3 PG Pinnacle
Mannion is without a doubt one of the top shooters in this classification. He can let it fly from anywhere on the court with an immense amount of accuracy. The most impressive part of his ability to shoot it is that he can do it in catch and shoot situations, off of the dribble, and off of screens. His ability to shoot it in an array of ways from multiple spots on the court makes him deadly.
Jeron Artest 6’4 SG Hillcrest
Artest shot the basketball at a high level for Hillcrest this past year. He has worked extremely hard on his craft and has taken that portion of his game to another level. Further, he has continued to shoot it well over the live periods. Artest’s stock has continuously risen due to his work ethic and passion for the game.
Dalen Terry Dalen Terry 6'7" | PG Hillcrest Prep | 2020 State #32 Nation AZ 6’4 PG Corona Del Sol
Terry is a really scary prospect due to his quick and confident release. He plays with a chip on his shoulder and is not phased by opposing defenders contesting his shot. In fact, he rises to the occasion and shoots tough shots with almost a higher effectiveness than open 3s.
Dominic Gonzalez Dominic Gonzalez 6'3" | SG Ironwood | 2020 State AZ 6’3 PG/SG Ironwood
Gonzalez shot it nearly 40% from 3 this past year while filling up the nets from deep. Despite having 3 college prospects on the team last year, Gonzalez led the eagles in scoring while averaging nearly 2.5 3 pointers per game. Continue to keep an eye on Gonzalez as he shot the heck out of the basketball with the Factory this off-season. He has improved his ability to shoot it from mid-range as well.
Jordan Wollagk 5’11 PG Mesquite
Wollagk is a key part of Mesquite’s team this upcoming season due to his ability to extend the court from deep. He is a confident shooter with a solid handle. He is more than willing to let it fly from behind the 3 point line. Further, he is capable of doing it off of the dribble as he prefers to pull up after dribbling with his right hand.
Isaac Monroe Isaac Monroe 5'11" | PG Peoria | 2020 State AZ 5’11 PG Peoria
Monroe was one of the most consistent shooters from deep this past season despite his youth. In addition to shooting well during the season, he has shot the ball well for Team M’Phasis. Monroe will be looked to even more this upcoming season as Peoria graduated some top tier pieces. His shooting abilities will be needed more than ever this upcoming season.
Xavier Dusell Xavier Dusell 6'4" | SG AZ Compass Prep | 2020 State #299 Nation AZ 6’3 PG/SG Chaparral
Dusell did not shoot the basketball as well during the season as he is capable of. With that said, he shot it at a high level for a sophomore. Further, he let it fly from deep for Team Harden and was a key part of the team’s success on the adidas Gauntlet Gold Circuit. Dusell is a top tier prospect who can shoot it as well as anyone in this class.
