Jake Elliott
5’7 – PG – 2016
Elliott an undersized guard with a lot of game. He’s got some quickness to him and can play quite a bit tougher than he looks. Knows how to create movement on the perimeter using screens and coming off hedges into the paint. He’s best at dribble-drive and dish to the perimeter. Has a good jumper but doesn’t use it too much, mainly because of size. – 13 points – 7 assists
Ryan Cloncs
6’3 – SG – 2016
Cloncs was really impressive, the best player in the game. His shooting was on point as he hit from all over the floor. He made long range threes, mid-range pullups and even a little drive at the right block. Cloncs has really good size at 6’3 with some length that makes him hard to guard on the wing. If he can put up points like this consistently, Ryan can be a valuable player at a low level school. One of the better shooting displays this season. – 27 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists
Jake Davis
6’7 – C – 2016
Davis can be a really helpful piece for a lower level college program. Davis is a big, strong post player who is strictly a low post guy. He’s mobile and can turn on the block to score. Has some speed in short spurts so he is adept at making plays down around the rim. He could use a few more touches in games because he’s decently efficient scoring the ball. Good size at 6’7 and strong enough to take on anyone he will come up against in the high school game. – 7 points, 5 rebounds
NorthWood:
Braxton Linville
6’1 – PG – 2016
Linville isn’t going to have the prettiest game sometimes and this was one of them but at the end of the day he always impacts it in one way. Sometimes it is a big time shot late in the game or sometimes he’s quiet and can dish out 8 assists, grab some boards and have about the quietest 12 points ever. He’s been solid so far this year as a point guard and the role it comes with. But, he can get better and that is a good problem to have.- 12 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists
Luke Zurcher
6’2 – SG – 2017
Zurcher had his best game I’ve seen to this point. The 6’2 wing was impressive doing a number of things. He shot the ball really well and this was really the first time I’ve seen him be assertive and wanting to score. He also showed pretty good ball handling, bringing the ball up the floor a bit. He can help on the ball but a straight off-ball guard. Good size and a decent athlete with some strength. Need to see more games like this in his future but a big step forward today. – 9 points, 3 rebounds
Vincent Miranda
6’0 – SG – 2017
Miranda is one of the players that is growing on me quickly. He’s a tough, hard-nosed player who does all the little things in the game. A combo guard who could run the point but not sure he would thrive there. Creates steals and offensive opportunities with his hustle plays. Vincent can also be a really good scoring option on top of his hard work. He’s solid shooting from three and has shown the ability to drive and pullup in the mid-range. A guy that can make others better around him. – 23 points, 3 rebounds
D.K. Fox
6’3 – PF – 2016
Much better showing from Fox than the game earlier this year where fouls pretty much took him out of the game early. He was strong and aggressive scoring in the post. He’s a big boy and tough as nails so he was able to beat up on Jake Davis a bit. If you play him in the low post or high post and not on the wing, he’s able to make plays. Limiting his dribbling allows him to be much more effective. A solid scoring and rebounding option for a DIII or NAIA schools. If he was 6’6 he might be a DII+ level player. – 15 points, 6 rebounds
