2019 Ranking Update: Top Stock Risers
As their junior seasons have wrapped up and the spring live periods are done, here are some of the top stock risers from the class of 2019. These prospects had solid seasons and played well for their respective club teams. Continue to monitor their prospect as every guy on this list is capable of playing at some collegiate level.
2019 Ranking Update: Top Stock Risers
Tyson Garff 6’4 PG/SG Davis
Almost a year ago, Garff demonstrated during summer ball that he was more than ready to have a big year for Davis. At this point, we are all waiting for the encore. While he might not have improved his ranking much, he demonstrated that he could be a legitimate NCAA Division-I prospect due to his shooting abilities. Simply point: He can shoot the basketball from anywhere.
Trey Stewart 6’2 SG American Fork
Stewart is not a new name as anyone with insight on Utah basketball knows he is a hooper. However, his strong performance this spring resulted in him receiving his first NCAA Division-I offer at UVU. Stewart could end up with a handful of Division-I offers. With that said, UVU is a great fit for his skill set.
Dyson Frank 6’8 PF Jordan
Frank had a breakout year this past season for Jordan. He is more than capable of following up that performance with another strong season. Frank has a high upside and could move up this list due to his size and ability to shoot it. Jordan is in a great spot this next season as Frank could be one of the most lethal prospects in that classification.
Trevon Allfrey 6’6 SF/PF Copper Hills
Bottom line: There might not be a tougher player to guard in the state. He finds a way to score the basketball no matter who is guarding him. Allfrey is relentless and has a bulldog mentality. His toughness and skill set enable him to make huge impacts on the game. Allfrey makes Copper Hills extremely dangerous next season. He is still one of the most underrated players in the state. However, he has certainly caught our attention.
Collin Jeppson 6’10 C Layton
Long post players often times take time to develop. With that said, it is safe to say that Jeppson is starting to get comfortable with his body. He understands angles and protects the rim. Offensively, he finishes well around the rim and is tough on the glass. Jeppson’s ceiling is high and he will continue to move up the list.
Matt Norman 6’3 PG/SG Timpanogoes
Norman really impressed me this past weekend. He can shoot the basketball extremely well and is strong. Norman doesn’t try to do too much but understands that he needs to be a playmaker for Timpanogoes. He has a solid handle and does not get pushed off of his spot easily. Further, he is a knockdown shooter and a solid on ball defender. Norman could be a very intriguing NCAA Division-II or high level NAIA prospect.
