2022 Top Prospects : Coker Team Camp
Prep Hoops took in 2 days of action from the Coker College Team Camp this past weekend. Prep Hoops is already keeping tabs on kids in the 2022 Palmetto State Class in names to watch. Lets take a look at a few of these players from the camp.
Perry Smith Jr – North Augusta HS
Smith Jr plays on the AAU circuit with Team United EYBL with his teammate RJ Felton. Smith Jr playing up a age group attended Paul Knox M.S. last year. Smith Jr 6’7 runs the floor very well and finishes in transition. Smith Jra quick leaper should see quality minutes for the Yellow Jackets this season and Head Coach Tony Harrell.
Prep Hoops has seen Smith Jr play a few times already this spring and during the season.
Julian Phillips – Blythewood HS (pictured on front)
Phillips just 14 years old was a nice surprise to see for the Bengals. Phillips 6’4 has a slender-sleek frame that played on the perimeter. Phillips knocked down some three pointers and defended in the paint. Phillips played very mature beyond his years already. Phillips could be one of the best ones to come out of Blythewood HS in the years to come. Phillips attended Muller Road M.S. last year.
Phillip still a RAW talent showed a nice mid-range game at times today. Bengals Head Coach Zeke Washington has himself a good one for the future.
Travon Pearson – Lee Central HS (Bishopville)
Pearson has been a mystery since we seen him play back in the spring with Team Wall Southeast-Marion 2022. Pearson didn’t dress for the Stallions here today. Pearson 7’2 (yes that is correct) is currently 15 years old. Pearson can run the floor and has a unreal wingspan of course. Pearson will be a player to monitor in the years to come for sure.
LaDarian McCree – Lancaster HS
McCree 5’9 connected on few three pointers today and seemed very comfortable playing off the ball for the Bruins. McCree looked to attack the basket at times and played very confident on the floor.
