Recruiting Report: Jaxson Robinson (2021)
One of the bright up and coming standouts in the 2021 Class is from Ada, Jaxson Robinson. 6’5 with a long and lanky build and a plethora of scoring skills have college coaches watching eagerly. Robinson has quite a while before he will step foot on a college campus, which gives him lots to time to build relationships and prove himself on the courts to colleges. He has high goals for the rest of the Summer.
“My goal for the summer is definitely to pick up my first offer,” said Robinson. “It has always been a dream since I was little to be a college basketball player. In order to do that I am going to have to have a great summer and stay consistent.”
The scoring skills of Robinson are the first thing that catches the eye. If you look analyze his game further one of the big bright spots is his versatility being able to switch guarding 1-4 and depending on the matchup event to the 5 man. Physical strength is an area Robinson lacks heavily, but the positive there is he has plenty of time to get stronger and grow into his body.
Robinson is a huge team guy. He is not sure what exactly he is looking for when it comes to colleges, however, he knows a few things for certain.
“One thing I am looking for in a college would be a system that is about the team and not about I,” said Robinson. “A team that runs an offense that I could thrive in.”
Robinson has garnered more attention this Grassroots season taking on the lead player role for Team Griffin 15U. He also played well playing up one weekend with at 16U Buddy Buckets.
Robinson has one of the highest potentials in the Oklahoma 2021 Class. He will rise to the second spot in the next Oklahoma rankings. The upside and growth over the past year in Robinson have him looking like a possible High Major recruit with continued development.
